Starting a business is hard. Running one is harder.
I’ve founded companies, raised capital, made payroll, scaled operations, written more than 50 angel checks, and sold businesses. I’ve experienced the wins, the mistakes, and the uncertainty that comes with building something from scratch.
That’s why I created DailyDime.
DailyDime is about starting, running, and growing a small business. We cover the questions founders and owners actually face: how to find customers, hire people, choose software, set prices, manage cash flow, and build a business that works.
Money is part of almost every business decision. We explain that side, too, from evaluating a loan and raising capital to understanding what your company is worth. But running a business also means working with suppliers, keeping customers happy, fixing problems, and deciding where to spend your time.
We also explore the forces changing how businesses operate, including AI, taxes, and the economy. And because owning a business affects life outside work, we cover personal money decisions like investing, retirement, and college savings.
Everything is grounded in research, real numbers, and experience. No filler. No jargon without a plain-English explanation. Just useful information you can understand in minutes and put to work.
That’s the dime: a small investment with a real return.
Mission
DailyDime helps small business owners understand their options and make better decisions.
Over 20 years of building companies across insurtech, marketplaces, and consumer goods, I’ve learned how much owners are expected to figure out for themselves. You can know your product inside out and still need help hiring your first employee, comparing software, or reading a contract.
DailyDime brings those answers together through clear explanations, practical tools, and lessons from experience. The goal is simple: help you spend less time searching for answers and more time building your business.

Track Record
Co-Founder, Cloud Water Filters
Currently disrupting the consumer water filtration space with smart-home technology. This role keeps me at the forefront of D2C metrics, supply chain management, and growth capital.
Founder, PetInsuranceQuotes.com
Built the leading marketplace for pet insurance from the ground up and successfully led the company through its acquisition by Petco. Following the sale, I served as VP/GM of Pet Insurance at Petco for over three years, scaling operations within a major national corporation.
Partner, NCT Ventures
I’ve been on the other side of the table. Was a general partner, responsible for fundraising, deal-flow, investment and strategic operations. Lead the investments in Embrace Pet Insurance, Seamless Logistics and GotCast.
Angel Investor
I have backed more than 50 startups, with a specific focus on consumer, fintech, insurtech, AI and SaaS. That concentration gives me a macro view of what separates businesses that scale from those that stall, and it’s the lens through which every DailyDime analysis is written.
